We have partnered with Impact of Fashion Earth to help us audit our environmental and social impact. Our objective is to limit the negative influences associated with the entire lifecycle of each fashion garment by designing with fibre recovery as the end goal. Fresh new yarn made from post-consumer textiles reduces the need for virgin yarn and prevents perfectly good fibres from going to landfill or incineration.

We have chosen only natural fibres that are easily recycled.

We want our supply chain to be entirely transparent so our customers can see that a commitment to responsible business practices is possible for every fashion brand.

Thanks for being part of our sustainable journey.

Origin

1. Our yarns are produced in Italy using fibres from South Africa, Mongolia, China and Australia.

2. Our garments are made in Mansfield.

3. Our Distribution Centre is in Somerset.

4. Once no longer able to be worn – in some years to come – our garments will be returned to Italy for fibre recovery, in order to make fresh new yarn.

We are testing yarns manufactured in the UK as well as yarns that are made of 95% recycled yarn. These will become available very shortly.

Who made my cardi

Deb / designer

Deb's hands made the very first prototype of our cardi design during lockdown. There are no synthetic fibres of details in the construction of the cardis – no threads or labels that cannot be part of the recycling processing. Designing for recycling is an integral part of circular production and at the heart of our brand philosophy.

Packaging

Our packaging tape, compostable bags, stickers and tags come from No Issue, a cute little packaging company totally committed to sustainability. There are three strands to its philosophy:

Compostable products are made from renewable plant-based materials and/or bio-polymers that are home compostable within 180 days.

Recycled packaging is made from post-consumer products that would have ended up in landfill or incinerators.

Reusable products have a built in second, third or even fourth use.

Our cardboard boxes come from Rajapack's Eco-Responsible range and are made from 100% recycled cardboard which is also 100% recyclable.

Make sure you put your packaging to its full use to give it a maximum lifespan. It not only saves it from going to waste, it also reduces the need for virgin materials.

Afterlife managemenet

In order to close the loop and keep good fibres in play, we ask that, if your cardi develops a hole, let us know and we will fix it. If you’re tired of it, we can resell it for you, and if you like, give the proceeds to charity.

But when you cardi has had it, and is holier than the Pope himself, we want it back, to dismantle it, chop it up, re-spin it into fresh yarn, and give it a second life, and maybe a third or fourth.
